A weekend of anniversaries and celebrations!

Friday, April 10th: 6 month anniversary

Saturday, April 11th: 1st kiss anniversary-I only remember the exact day because it's the day before his birthday and I thought, if this boy doesn't kiss me soon I'm going to give him a big one for his birthday:)

Sunday, April 12th: Carleton's 26th Birthday, Easter, met Carleton's entire family for the first time one year ago!

Birthdays are the best!  Carleton signed up for local birthday freebies in the area so for the past week we've been stuffing ourselves silly with free birthday meals!  Friday we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Firebirds.  Then on Saturday we went to Sweet Tomatoes (the place he took me for our first date) this time he didn't spill Tomato soup (or anything else) down his chin.  I was a little disappointed:(  Then Sunday I made a New York Cheesecake for Carleton's birthday which was pretty tasty if I do say so myself.  We also found out on Sunday that our sister-in-law, Jen is pregnant!  That means 3 of the 4 of us are all having babies this year!  August, September, and October babies- hopefully this means that the pressure is off us for a while;)

If God isn't a Tarheel, then why is the sky Carolina Blue?

Two thumbs up for the heels! - Ashley
Why am I here I love Duke and I will represent them wherever I go...even if my wife makes me wear something neutral like a grey BYU sweatshirt! -Carleton

The victory kiss :*
So my sister and I have always wanted to rush Franklin St. after a big Tarheel victory but have either been in another state at the time, or just too tired to get down there.  Well this time we were not using or accepting any excuses.  Jes and Phillip took the kids to my parents' house and when the time came (I seriously think we could've left 5 minutes into the game since it was pretty much over by then) we headed down.  Everyone was very friendly, complete strangers professed their love to me because, "we're a family and we did this together".  All in all I'm so glad we went and I had a great time, and now that I've gone, I can say I've done it, I've got pictures to prove it, and I might not drag my poor husband to do it again:)  Thanks everyone for making this memorable!

Disclaimer: If you ever go to Franklin Street after a big tarheel victory do not, I repeat DO NOT wear flip flops, although it may seem like a good idea, it is not.
